How Do Skillet Atomizers Work

How Do Skillet Atomizers Work?

Skillet Atomizers are an easy to use and operate piece. Typically to get your Skillet started, you place your favorite concentrates onto the heating chamber or element where it can be heated to the appropriate temperature without combusting.

If you regularly vape or dab at the wrong temperature you are wasting your concentrates and run into the possibility of running your atomizer all together.

Inside of the Skillet is a metal coil with cotton wick, here the concentrate is place onto the coils and heated enough to where it transforms into inhalable vapor.

For coil less Skillet Atomizers, these atomizers are a little different. Employing no coils at all, these handy accessories take the hassles out of the process all together. Using slow burn technology and elevated airflow system, simply place your concentrate in the chamber and wait for it to heat up. No clogging or leaking, these atomizers slowly but efficiently heats your goodies for grand vapor clouds.

Unscrewing the Skillet Atomizer’s mouthpiece reveals the core of the atomizer which includes the chamber. Using a dab tool place a small amount of concentrate on the coils. Be sure not to put too much as it can overfill and wont work properly; try to stick to the size of a peppercorn. Once loaded, replace the mouthpiece by screwing it back on. Click the power button five times rapidly in a row and you are in business! Inhale while pressing the button and you’ll soon be enjoying tasting sessions sooner than you can believe.

Taking Care of Your Skillet

Taking Care of Your Skillet Atomizer: Tips to Cleaning

It is important to take care of your Skillet Atomizer so you can always get the best possible performance. Here are some tips on cleaning and making sure your Skillet is working great.

Always make sure to choose a great, quality concentrate material when vaping. You can to get the best possible flavors, so it makes sense to get the best possible product. Skillet Atomizers can be used with both thinner and thicker concentrates for grand vapor clouds.

When filling your Skillet Atomizer, less is more. Overfilling is a pain which could lead to leaking or clog the skillet which affects the draw. Using a fill tool or dab tool, scoop up the concentrate of your choice and lay it very carefully on top of the coils or the in chamber if coil less. Do not push the product down into the skillet as applying too much pressure can unseat the coils. Allow your goodies to melt.

Be sure to maintain and clean the battery contacts. Product can get on both the heater and battery contact, so it is important to clean with a cotton swap or Q-Tip. Dip either in some Isopropyl Alcohol for a good cleaning.

Just a small tip, never dig inside of the skillet heater, the coil can come unseated very easily. If you feel that you must clean product from the bottom of the Skillet, use it and the battery like a self-cleaning oven. Simply take off the cone and mouthpiece, place the heater on the battery, turn it upside down and press the button as many times as possible until product drips out, be sure the battery is charged as this might take some power.

If you want more of a deep, thorough cleaning, grab some Isopropyl Alcohol (90% or higher is okay) and fill a small dish with a quarter inch of liquid. Soak the dirty pieces upside down and let it soak for a few hours. Duck it in and out of the liquid until the residue is all off. For very dirty coils with a lot of grime and dirt, take out of alcohol, let it completely dry then then run a dry cycle with the Skillet at its highest level and the crud will burn off.

Types of Skillet Atomizers: Dual Coil and Coil less

Coils are one of the more important aspects of vaping, deciding the length of your battery life, potency of flavors and the amount of vapor production you receive. Measured in Ohms, a coil’s resistance will be around 1.0 to 3.0 ohms, some going as low as 0.15 ohm for those billowy vape clouds. These come in different varieties for the vaper’s preference.

Dual Coil Skillets

Dual Coil Atomizers are atomizers that employ two or dual coils. These atomizers provide a great amount of vapor because they have a larger surface area, allowing the user to use more concentrate when vaping. Dual Coil Atomizers double your size in clouds but still allow you to use less battery life.
